About

Hi, I'm Reeves, a 19 year old college student fixing up furniture whenever I have the chance! I started this blog for a school project my senior year of high school, to update pictures and steps of pieces I have done. My interest in upcycling and repurposing began a couple years ago. Finding used and loved items is something I really enjoy! The first project I did myself was turning an old, weathered door into my headboard (note the name). Now I have been upcyling and repurposing all kinds of items I find at garage sales, thrift stores, auctions and craigslist.

The Weathered Door is all about updating old furniture to help it fit a modern style! Most of the pieces I reinvent, I sell. All of the items I have for sale can be found by searching "theweathereddoor" on seattle.craigslist. You can also "like" my facebook page, http://facebook.com/TheWeatheredDoor to get updates of items I am selling.

  2. Hi Reeves! You're so talented and have such a great eye. Nice to see a young blogger in the DIY blogosphere. I started DIYing high school, like you (I'm 28 now). I redid an old kitchen table for a desk.
